Accessible for All: Changing Places Facility at Queensgate
As part of our commitment to inclusivity and accessibility, Queensgate is proud to offer a fully equipped Changing Places toilet facility, providing essential support for people with complex disabilities and their carers.
Located near the Bus Station entrance, this state-of-the-art facility includes:
• A height-adjustable adult-sized changing bench
• An overhead ceiling hoist
• A peninsula toilet
• Space for up to two carers
• Emergency alarm system and privacy screen
Developed in partnership with Peterborough City Council, this space ensures that more people can access the city centre and our shopping centre with dignity, confidence, and comfort.
Why It Matters
Standard accessible toilets don’t meet the needs of everyone. Our Changing Places facility supports individuals with profound and multiple learning disabilities, motor neurone disease, multiple sclerosis, cerebral palsy, and other mobility or personal care needs.
