North Square will be transformed into a green garden for the week to highlight the national event ‘Great Big Green Week’

Working with local community group ‘Up The Garden Bath’ they will be creating various upcycled planters with medicinal herbs in, with an information card explaining the healing properties of each plant, so you can learn about the different types surrounding you.
Take a seat in the space and enter the #QGGreenGarden competition to win the entire green garden for yourself.

Clothing Donation Station

Do you have loads of clothes you no longer need? Pop them along to our Clothing Donation Station where we will then recycle them in conjunction with H&M. More information on their recycling scheme can be found here

Saturday 17th June 11am to 3pm

‘Bug Bodyguards’ will be on hand to guide you through various skills to enable you to become ‘Bug Bodyguards’ yourselves and keep nature safe!

• Learn how to fly like a butterfly!
• Crawl like a caterpillar through our tunnels.
• Learn how to play dead like bugs to protect themselves.
• Food Scouts - how good is your sense of smell!
• How ladybirds react when aphids attack our plants.
• Come up from dark like a beetle.
• Why Hornets sting.
• Dance like a honey bee to communicate with other bees.
• Jump like a grasshopper.

And the fun doesn’t stop there…..

9 bug images will be placed in retailer windows throughout the shopping centre and you need to find all 9, which hold a special letter before entering the entry form into the post box in North Square to win a bug related prize bundle.
